Haiku Poems.

In room 11, we were learning about Haiku poems. We first brainstormed our ideas onto a document and then we put everything together to make a haiku poem. I found the syllable pattern difficult because you needed to get the pattern right which is 5,7,5 usually the last line would be 6. Here is some of my haiku poems I made with my friends. 

Controlling Anger

Scrunched faces are formed

A vivid red tops the roof.

Exploding minds pop.

Depression

A heart is broken

Hundreds and thousands of tears,

Rolling down sadly.

Excitement

Jaunty,lively legs,

Enthusiastically

Moving rapidly.

What makes a great Blog Comment.

Today we have been learning about how to make an amazing blog comment. We learnt heaps of ways to make our comments a lot better. We learnt this by, reading blog comments and watching outstanding videos that gives you great facts about comments. I found adding new ideas challenging because I had to remember what I just learnt from the videos and there were plenty of ideas. I also enjoyed learning other facts from my friends on the padlet. The next time I comment, I will surely use these new tips I learnt.

Blog Treaty.

We have been learning about blog treaties. In my blog treaty, I have made a promise to only put my learning stuff and to make sure that I put punctuations and to check my spelling to make my posts better . This treaty is to make sure that I keep my promise at all times when I am blogging.

At then end of our blog treaty, we made sure to sign it. To sign it, we used a site that has different signature writing and we could change the font, the colour and the pens. It was kind of easy to make and it was pretty fun and enjoyable. 

My 24 Hour Footprint.

This is my 24 hour footprint. As you can see, I spend most of my time on Google and my Google docs.I spent most of my time on it because I need to finish off work from school that I haven't finished. It wouldn't be different if I did this activity on a weekend because I don't spend my time on my Chromebook or any devices on weekends. The word 'Google' always comes up because every site I type is owned by Google and on the address it will usually have the name 'Google' on it. 

Goal Setting Term 2

          TERM 2 GOAL SETTING

For my goal this term, I want to achieve my reading and my maths tasks even if they might be difficult. My reading and maths tasks for this term are my study ladder work  and manga high geometry assigned work. By accomplishing my goal, I might need to manage myself and the limited time I have. I might also need to use videos if I am stuck, and to use help from friends and teachers.  I also need to work more at home if I don't have that much time in class.

Room 11's New Reading Programme

                 BIG MIRACLE

Room 11 was introduced to a new reading programme called AVAIL LL. In the reading programme we had to watch a movie and the movie we watched was called 'Big Miracle'. Every single day we had one new task that we had to do. We read subtitles to help us with the task.

On Monday, we had to find the word 'it' and the word that was after 'it' like 'it seems'. On Tuesday we read a whole sentence and put it in the doc. Yesterday, (Wednesday) we took a dictionary with us to the movies and found words and the definition of it and completed a quiz. Today, we were given 5 words from the movie and we needed to highlight the synonyms and the antonyms. And this is our new Reading programme. I am looking forward to watch a new movie next week. 

Blog Reflection

This is my maths work I am doing this week. I am learning about Geometry, and my tasks are about geometry. Geometry is all about shapes. As you can see I already passed 5 of them and got my golds and one of them is bronze, so that is the one I am going to work. This week I am going to accomplish my tasks by learning them at home or watching videos to help me with them.

Inquiry Work

Reading Post

In reading this week I am working on my study ladder tasks that I have been set to do. I am doing reading comprehension on study ladder. I am trying to complete them before Friday. What might help me to achieve them is to:
-focus more
-try not to talk and distract others
-try and finish them on time 
- never giving up

Math Post

In Maths this week, I am learning to do times and clocks. In my tasks I've been set, I have to read the clocks and measure the time. I am going to accomplish it by using my time wisely and watch videos to help me.   

Banqer Post.

In Room 11, we have been introduced to a new website called Banqer. Its a bank website and it helps us, student, use money very wisely. I learnt to spend some on myself and save some too. 

Blog Post

This week In maths I am working on Measurement tasks. I am using websites to help me complete the tasks I have been assigned to do. In some of my tasks I have to workout what units might I use for the depth of a swimming pool and what might I use to measure a small cup. In Maths I will try and accomplish my maths tasks and finish it before Friday.

"My Term 2 Goal is to improve more on multiplying terms and to use my time prudently.   I will achieve this by trying to not misuse my time and to watch videos about multiply terms. 

Conjunctions and complex sentences

In room 11 we were learning about conjunctions and complex sentences. We learnt that complex sentences are 2 sentences and a conjunction is a word that joins that 2 sentences together. I posted this up so that kids my age and others can learn about these conjunctions and complex sentences and use them in their writing or in their tests.
